🔧 Environment Setup Guide
This guide helps you verify access and prepare your workstation for the 2-day Siebel training. It includes telecom-specific context (Telecom Operator Africa) and quick troubleshooting tips.
1) Access the Training Environment
- Siebel Application:

2) Browser Setup & Tips
- Use a modern browser (Chrome/Edge latest). Disable aggressive ad/script blockers for the training domain.
- Open Siebel App and Web Tools in separate tabs; pin them for quick access.
- Enable pop-ups for the training domain if you see blocked dialogs.
3) Validate Access & Roles
- Log in as
TRAINEE0Xin Siebel Application. - Open Site Map → Service Requests → confirm you can see the list view.
- Open Accounts → confirm ability to view Account List and drill down to details.
- Open Web Tools → confirm you can load the Workspaces screen.
4) Telecom (Telecom Operator) Context Validation
We will reference telecom scenarios during labs: prepaid/postpaid customers, service activation, and network issue management. Ensure you can navigate to Service Requests and Accounts to follow along.
5) Troubleshooting
Common Issues & Fixes
- Cannot reach URLs: Verify corporate proxy/VPN rules. Try another network if possible.
- Login fails: Check username (
TRAINEE01..), case-sensitive password (WELCOME123), and keyboard layout. - Blank page or errors: Hard refresh (Ctrl+F5); clear cache for the site; disable extensions temporarily.
- Web Tools slow or not loading: Close extra tabs, wait 30–60s; try a fresh browser session or Incognito window.
6) Validation Checklist
- I can log in to Siebel Application
- I can open Service Requests and Accounts views
- I can log in to Web Tools and see Workspaces
- Pop-ups allowed; no blockers preventing core actions
